The Death Parade of a GMC Suburban

This Automotive Habit Of MineThis Automotive Habit Of MineMy favorite car is my next car. What will today bring to my automotive habit? There could be financial ruin, excellent deals, skinned knuckles, and epic mechanical resurrections. We can't save them all, but the cars that land in our driveway deserve a good ol' college try.

Now before you pick up torches and pitchforks... this 1991 GMC Suburban 4x4 5.7l, was worn out, broken, and crusty rusty. With nearly a quarter million miles, many years lived in the snow, an arterial oil leak, and an almost smoked transmission, it felt easier to let it live out its days as a parts ‘Burban. It lived a very hard, hard life.

Of course as soon as it got to the junkyard an employee wanted to restore fix it up. Unknown of course, to the co-worker operating the fork lift, he thought it would be more fun to merely tip it off on its side from the flat bed! The old ‘Burb landed on its side, smashed out the side windows, and began to bleed everywhere. So much for the fix’in up... Hopefully someone found some useful parts.
